Well done Paul Doniol-Valcroze for defending a great PhD theis on hybrid speciation in the complex of Alpine heath butterflies (Coenonympha)! A very nice, multidisciplinary effort with three great chapters showing adaptation to latitudinal conditions (experiments), chemical traits involved in reproductive isolation (chemical ecology), patterns of unequal trait and genome inheritance, and a cline analysis pointing to barriers to gene flow mostly onf the Z chromosome (population genomics). Congratulations and good luck with the migration to… bird migration routes!
Congratulation Doctor Doniol-Valcroze !
